| 'Telegraph publicises Trust complaint!' posted by THST on 22/10/2006 | A Week in Football: Spurs go over their credit limit with fans (Telegraph)

Despite the literally gut-wrenching manner in which Tottenham lost their Champions League spot to Arsenal on the final day of last season, their supporters consoled themselves that they would at least enjoy European competition for the first time in seven years via the Uefa Cup.
Now, before any big foreign stars have trotted out at the Lane, Spurs season-ticket holders are already threatening to boycott December's final group game against Dinamo Bucharest because of the club's extortionate pricing policy and the alacrity with which they have taken the money from fans' credit cards through the Autopay system.
Next month's game against Bruges is free to season-ticket holders, but for the Bucharest game prices in the upper West Stand have been increased from £40 to an eye-popping £71. And to add insult to penury the club drained this money from supporters' accounts in the first week of this month.
The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust's initial complaint to club executive director Paul Barber was dismissed as a storm in a Uefa Cup, but growing discontent has forced Barber to admit that they will review their Autopay to see if monies can be collected later in future.
