| 'Trust response to Carling Cup decision' posted by THST on 22/01/2007 | CARLING CUP SEMI-FINAL TICKET ALLOCATION
The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust is very pleased that the Football League has upheld the claim by our club that the allocation of tickets to away supporters should be on the basis of parity of percentage allocation.
Trust Chairman Daniel Wynne said: “While we are disappointed that there will not be more away fans at both legs, we are heartened that the League first asked Arsenal to increase the allocation at the Emirates for the second leg to that Tottenham could have provided at White Hart Lane, i.e. 12.2%. We remain amazed and disappointed that Arsenal have built a brand new stadium, in full knowledge of the rules, that, to use their words, is “unsafe to make the increase from 3000 to 9000 away supporters in one single step””.
